My Experience With These Budget Sony Wireless Headphones
I recently bought the Sony WH-CH520 wireless Bluetooth headphones, mainly to use with my desktop computer and mobile phone, and so far I’m really pleased with them.
Setting them up was incredibly easy. I charged the headphones, switched Bluetooth on my desktop computer and they were picked up almost straight away. There was no complicated setup – I simply paired them and started using them.
I then connected my mobile phone as well. One feature I particularly like is being able to connect two Bluetooth devices at the same time. As someone who switches between my computer and phone, this makes everyday use much easier.
Comfortable Sony Wireless Headphones for Everyday Use
Comfort was important to me, and these have been excellent so far. They’re lightweight and the soft padded earcups sit nicely against my ears without feeling hard or uncomfortable.
I’ve used them for music, computer work and calls, and the sound is crisp and clear. The controls are simple too. The power, pairing and volume buttons are all conveniently placed on the right earcup, so I quickly got used to where everything was.
They also have that clean, simple Sony design and came in a very nicely presented box. Overall, they feel well designed and easy to use, which is exactly what I would expect from Sony.

What I Like About the Sony WH-CH520
- Very easy Bluetooth setup
- Comfortable soft padded earcups
- Lightweight at around 147g
- Crisp, clear sound
- Up to 50 hours battery life
- Quick-charge feature
- Connects to two devices at once
- Simple controls on the right earcup
- Available in six colours
One Bad Point
The only real negative I’ve found is that the Sony WH-CH520 headphones are not foldable.
The earcups do twist from the normal listening position into a flatter, straight position, which makes them easier to put away or pack, but the actual headband does not fold.
For me, this isn’t a deal-breaker because everything else has been very good.
Are the Sony WH-CH520 Worth Buying?
For my everyday use, yes, I think they are.
If you want comfortable budget wireless headphones for remote working, computer calls, listening to music, walking or travelling, the Sony WH-CH520 are well worth considering.
I especially like how quickly they connect and how easy it is to move between my desktop computer and mobile phone. Being able to have two devices connected is particularly useful when I’m working on my computer but also want to use my phone.
If you’re comparing Sony wireless headphones UK, looking for Bluetooth headphones with long battery life, or simply want an affordable and comfortable pair of headphones for everyday use, these would definitely be on my shortlist.
